Video: Sub-Saharan Africa Google Student Ambassador Summit
What energy and excitement! In June 2012, Google welcomed nearly 150 of the 170 university students selected as 2012-2013 Google Student Ambassadors in Nairobi, Kenya for the first-ever Sub-Saharan Africa Google Student Ambassador (GSA) Summit. These students represent over 1 million students in over 100 universities across 12 countries including Angola, Cameroon, Cote d’ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
The annual program allows students to act as liaisons between Google and their university. The students are passionate about Google technology and are especially keen to use it to enhance their communities.
