Video: Get to know Lusaka, Zambia’s BongoHive
BongoHive serves Zambians unique technological needs and applications via training sessions, meetups, and app development workshops. At its core, the space allows innovators think about solving local problems with technology. As the BongoHive membership page puts it, “are self-organising to equip themselves with the expertise and experience needed to solve social problems and enhance their personal development.”
In this video, Lukonga Lindunda and Bart Cornille, the co-founders of BongoHive, explain the rationale behind the Zambian tech hub. Attaining solutions to educational problems was a major driving factor. Another was creating a common space for tech-minded Zambians to interact. A handful of mobile app developers then explain what BongoHive has helped them achieve. Impressive!
