Africa Android Challenge 2013 sees massive increase in participation
Two winners of the Africa Android Challenge (AAC) were announced in June 2013. They hail from Senegal and Egypt. Another 10 apps were also highlighted.

According to the Java.net Projects site, 14 African JUGs have existed since 2011. Abidjan, Faso, and Algeria appear to be the most active chapters.
